Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Ms. Deemah AlYahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO).
The meeting discussed the contribution of the digital economy to economic diversification and enhanced competitiveness, the attraction of foreign direct investment to the technology sector, and productivity growth driven by innovation.
The sides exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in supporting startups, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), as well as high-growth companies, developing digital trade, and expanding access to international markets.
The parties also considered opportunities to expand mutual cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, innovation and technology.
The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) is a global multilateral organization established in November 2020 to accelerate the inclusive and sustainable growth of the digital economy, promote digital transformation, and expand opportunities for digital prosperity for all countries, businesses and people. Azerbaijan has been a member of the organization since 2026.
