A panel session titled “Investing in Human Capital and Future Skills” was held as part of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, convened in Baku under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev.
Moderated by Filippo Malinverno, Coordinator of International at TEHA Group, the Forum’s strategic partner, the session featured remarks by Anar Aliyev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who provided information on measures being implemented to develop human capital, align the labour market with future skills requirements, and strengthen the country’s workforce capacity in line with the needs of the modern economy.
The panel brought together Hasil Abbasov, Chairman of the State Employment Agency; Jalal Gasimov, CEO of PASHA Holding; Hasan Hasanli, Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Rahim Bayramli, CEO of SABAH.HUB; and Can Yücel, CEO of Şişecam.
The session focused on the role of human capital development in ensuring Azerbaijan’s long-term competitiveness and economic diversification, as well as future skills, digital capabilities and modern leadership approaches. The participants also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between universities, businesses and public institutions, attracting and developing talent, expanding employment opportunities, and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum is being held in Baku under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev.
