Economic Cooperation Discussed with European Union Delegation

The meeting held at the Ministry of Economy focused on an exchange of views on opportunities to expand trade and investment cooperation with the European Union.

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy with a delegation of the Working Party on Eastern Europe and Central Asia (COEST) of the Council of the European Union. The delegation included representatives of EU member states and EU institutions.

At the meeting, Advisor to the Minister of Economy Huseyn Huseynov spoke about the current state and development prospects of economic relations between Azerbaijan and the EU, as well as opportunities to expand trade and investment cooperation. Information was provided on the economic reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan, efforts to improve the business and investment environment, and measures taken to develop the digital economy.

The meeting also covered the improvement of transport and logistics connectivity, Azerbaijan’s role in regional connectivity, and the opportunities offered by the Middle Corridor. Azerbaijan’s potential in the field of green energy, opportunities to expand cooperation in this area, and ongoing projects were also highlighted.
