Discussions were held on projects related to supporting economic growth and improving infrastructure in the Asian region.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a video conference meeting with Ms. Zou Jiayi, candidate for the presidency of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
It was noted that Azerbaijan has been cooperating with the Bank since 2016 and attaches great importance to this partnership. The importance of the Bank’s support for infrastructure development in member countries, ensuring sustainable development, including the transition to a green economy and the promotion of green energy, was emphasized.
The parties also discussed the main areas of cooperation between AIIB and Azerbaijan, as well as projects related to supporting economic growth and improving infrastructure in the Asian region.
