The future development prospects of the textile industry have been discussed with the Azerbaijan Textile Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
With the support of the Ministry of Economy and the organization of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO, a meeting was held with the representatives of the Azerbaijan Textile Manufacturers and Exporters Association, which is part of the Azerbaijan Exporters Club, and the business entities that are members of the association.
In his speech, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli highlighted the measures being implemented in the country to develop the industry, particularly towards the application of more sustainable and flexible industrial production models. He noted that the production of competitive and export-oriented textile products, especially the expansion of high value-added product manufacturing in this sector, is one of the main objectives. This is important both for increasing local production potential and expanding export opportunities.
Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, emphasized that new textile enterprises are being built in the country with the participation of foreign partners, and work on the development of cotton clusters continues. He also mentioned that in the coming periods, the increase of support measures for the textile industry and participation in new sectoral exhibitions with a unified national stand are being considered.
Farida Akhundova, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Textile Manufacturers and Exporters Association, and members of the Association made speeches about the organization's activities, entrepreneurs' proposals regarding exports, and the future development prospects of the textile industry.
At the event, entrepreneurs' questions regarding the development of the textile sector were answered.
