The "National Program" has been launched within the framework of the "4IR Academy." Registration has started for over 8,000 training programs offered by nearly 350 prestigious universities and leading technology companies worldwide.
The "National Program" has been launched through the joint cooperation of the Analysis and Coordination Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under the Ministry of Economy, the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education, and the U.S.-based company "Coursera." Implemented in partnership with SOCAR, PASHA Holding, BP, and JOCAP, the program aims to provide tens of thousands of users with free access to training courses on "Coursera," the world's largest online learning platform, within one year. The program's objective is to accelerate the country's transition to a digital economy by developing knowledge and skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and supporting the preparation of qualified specialists in this field for the labor market. Azerbaijani citizens, regardless of their age or employment status, can register on the website https://4sim.gov.az to benefit from this opportunity.
Registrants will receive a 6-week license to use the Coursera online platform. Users will have access to courses and training from nearly 350 of the world's most prestigious universities and leading technology companies, including Oxford, Stanford, Yale, Duke, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Illinois, Florida, Sydney, as well as Microsoft, Google, Meta, IBM, AWS, Oracle, GitLab, Intel, SAP, and Salesforce. The platform will offer up to 8,000 specialized courses and programs for "National Program" users, covering topics such as 4IR technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data analytics, blockchain, cloud technologies, programming languages, as well as skills like leadership, personal development, and communication. Those who successfully complete the courses will be awarded internationally recognized certificates by the Coursera platform.
Within the framework of the "National Program," the 2,500 most popular courses on the Coursera platform will be accompanied by Azerbaijani subtitles generated using artificial intelligence. Additionally, the 10 most in-demand courses will be dubbed in Azerbaijani using artificial intelligence "deep-fake" technology.
In addition, the "Hiring Solutions" tool will be available on the platform for employers in Azerbaijan. Through this tool, enterprises will be able to access information about individuals who have completed courses that match the desired knowledge and skills, allowing them to invite those individuals for job opportunities. Users will also benefit from the AI-powered "Coursera Coach" guidance feature, which will help them select courses that align with their educational and career goals.
It should be noted that in the initial phase of the "4IR Academy" last year, 10,000 people benefited from free courses on the Coursera platform over a one-year period in rotation. Participants completed over 32,000 hours of coursework, and those who successfully finished the training received a total of 4,200 international certificates. In 2024, the project was recognized as the winner in the "Artificial Intelligence Innovation" category at Coursera's "Outstanding Achievement Awards 2024" competition.
