· The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) was established in 1992 and its headquarters are located in Berne.
· Helena Budliger-Artieda has been SECO Director since August 1, 2022. · SECO's mission is to plan and implement economic and commercial criteria for emerging economies in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, as well as new members of the European Union. |

Information about cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization |
· Cooperation between SECO and Azerbaijan was established in the mid-1990s. Bilateral technical and financial cooperation projects have been implemented since 1998. · SECO's program on Azerbaijan covers infrastructure, private sector development, policy advice and capacity building. · To date, more than 91 projects have been completed in Azerbaijan, including regional projects. · Currently, 7 projects are under implementation in these mentioned areas.
- Financial sector modernization program, phase 3; - Global Tax Fund phase 2; - Government debt and risk management programme ; - Bilateral assistance and capacity building program for central banks phase 3; - Debt management and financial analysis system; - Capacity building for the medium term expenditure framework; - Global Financial Infrastructure Programme phase 2. |
