Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum Held

The 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, organized in Baku under the patronage of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, will feature discussions on the global economic agenda and investment prospects, as well as the signing of cooperation documents.

The opening ceremony of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) was held in Baku under the patronage of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

At the opening of the event, an address by President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov.

Held in strategic partnership between the Ministry of Economy and The European House – Ambrosetti & TEHA Group, the Forum will continue for two days. The event is dedicated to the theme “Rebuilding Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability.” The Forum serves as an important platform for establishing new partnerships, attracting investment and creating new economic opportunities. Its objective is to build partnerships around concrete projects and develop mechanisms for joint action that contribute to shared prosperity.

The sessions to be held within the framework of the Forum will focus on the impact of global economic and geopolitical developments on economic growth and investment, Azerbaijan’s strategic position in this context, regional connectivity and investment opportunities, as well as prospects for cooperation across various sectors.

As part of the international economic event, Azerbaijani institutions are expected to sign and exchange a number of cooperation documents with foreign companies and partners.

The 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum is expected to contribute to promoting new investment avenues and cooperation opportunities, strengthening Azerbaijan’s role in regional economic connectivity, and advancing promising projects.
