At the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, opportunities to expand cooperation with the Asian Development Bank in the areas of promoting public-private partnerships, digitalization, and human capital development have been reviewed.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Leah Gutierrez, the Director General of the Central and West Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank.
During the meeting, information was provided on the work being done in Azerbaijan in the areas of economic diversification, private sector development, support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as tax reforms.
The parties reviewed opportunities to expand cooperation in promoting public-private partnerships, digitalization, and human capital development. In addition, an exchange of views was held on regional initiatives, green energy corridors, transport and energy connectivity, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
The meeting emphasized the successful continuation of the partnership between Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank, and the future prospects for cooperation were evaluated.
