At the roundtable held within the framework of the Business Mission of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to Azerbaijan, the cooperation in energy, transport, investment, trade, industry, innovation, digitalization and other areas was explored.
A roundtable has been organized at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the delegation led by Khush Choksy, Senior Vice President, International Member Relations & Senior Vice President, Middle East & Türkiye at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
During the roundtable, it was emphasized that thanks to the political will of the Heads of State, the Azerbaijan – U.S. relations have reached the level of strategic partnership, and broad opportunities have emerged for the diversification of the economic cooperation. The parties noted the macroeconomic stability in our country and the attractiveness of the economic climate, shaped based on the continuous development principles, for foreign investors. Information was provided on the diversification of the Azerbaijani economy, the works carried out for expanding the non-oil and gas sector, as well as the priority strategic initiatives.
The favorable transport-logistics advantages of our country were highlighted. It was noted that additional opportunities for cooperation would open thanks to new transport connections. The parties also drew attention to the concessions and incentives offered for entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan, and the steps taken in our country for digitalization, the expansion of investment flows, and the development of entrepreneurship.
The representatives of the U.S. companies participating in the meeting expressed satisfaction with the conducive business climate in Azerbaijan and highlighted their interest in developing the partnership. The next steps for expanding the collaboration in energy, transport, investment, trade, industry, innovations, digitalization and other areas, as well as potential projects were reviewed at the event.
It is noteworthy that the delegation includes Jennifer Miel, Vice President of Middle East, Central Asia, and Türkiye at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as senior representatives from companies such as Apple, Ardea Energy Technologies Inc., Ericsson AB, ExxonMobil, Herbalife, Illumina, Meta, Visa, Wabtec, Baker Hughes, bp, Boeing Global, Honeywell, J.P. Morgan, Lummus Technology, Marriott, Mastercard, Shell International, Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers LLC, and Motorola Solutions.
