During the meeting with Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar and at the Azerbaijan-Israel Business Forum held in Baku, the expansion of the economic relations between the two countries and new partnership opportunities have been discussed.
Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel is developing on an upward trajectory. There is great potential for strengthening joint activities in various directions. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in strengthening the legal framework of economic collaboration, increasing the trade turnover, as well as in industry, agriculture, energy, high technologies, and other fields. The implementation status of the joint investment projects was reviewed.
The Azerbaijan-Israel Business Forum was held in Baku. The event was attended by more than 100 company representatives from both countries, in addition to official representatives, operating in industry, construction, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, technologies, water supply and management, transport-logistics, cybersecurity, banking, tourism, and other sectors.
At the Forum, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized that the cooperation between our countries is built on mutual trust. It was noted that high-level contacts play an important role in strengthening the bilateral relations. It was reported that issues related to our bilateral agenda were discussed during the meeting between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum held in Davos last week.
The mutually beneficial partnership has been established with Israel across a wide range of fields. At the same time, there are broad opportunities to promote cooperation between our countries in energy, trade, investment, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, transport, and other areas.
The Minister of Economy provided information about Azerbaijan's attractive investment environment and the opportunities created for investors, expressing confidence that the discussions held at the Forum will contribute to the realization of new initiatives and the deepening of business ties.
Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar highly appreciated the dynamic development of the Azerbaijan-Israel relations and highlighted the importance of expanding direct contacts between business communities. The need for regular dialogue and increasing joint projects to further deepen economic ties was emphasized.
Executive Director of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev noted the contribution of the organized events and business connections to the development of economic cooperation with Israel and shared his views on business partnership.
Presentations on Azerbaijan's role as a strategic business hub in the Caspian region, as well as the country's investment potential, were delivered by representatives of the Alat Free Economic Zone, the Economic Zones Development Agency, and AZPROMO.
Within the framework of the Forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Manufacturers Association of Israel.
B2B and B2G meetings were organized during the event.
