Discussions held with U.S. Trade and Development Agency

Discussions on the development of economic-trade relations with the United States were held at the Ministry of Economy.

First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev met with Carl Kress, Regional Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

During the meeting, it was emphasized that our country attaches great importance to the development of relations with the United States. It was noted that there are significant prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the fields of economic-trade, energy, investment, transport-transit, industry, and other areas.

The parties exchanged views on potential joint projects that could be implemented within the framework of cooperation with USTDA. Discussions covered the expansion of the Azerbaijan-U.S. economic-trade partnership, the prospects of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), and other opportunities for cooperation of mutual interest.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the possibilities of implementing joint initiatives.
