During the meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency, the works carried out by the Agency and the issues for 2026 have been discussed.
A follow-up meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been held.
During the meeting chaired by Samad Bashirli, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Deputy Minister of Economy, Seymur Adigozalov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency, provided information on the works carried out and projects implemented in 2025 in the industrial zones under the institution, as well as the industrial parks operating in the liberated territories. It was noted that the industrial zones are a favorable mechanism for increasing production in the country, replacing import and creating new export opportunities. The significant share of Azerbaijan’s non-oil and gas production and non-oil and gas export falls on the industrial zones. The favorable conditions created by the state in the industrial zones and the incentives offered expand entrepreneurship activities.
Within the framework of the meeting, the priority development directions set by the Agency for 2026 were identified, and the organizational-structural issues were discussed.
