Issues related to the continuation of the activities with the UN to localize the SDGs have been discussed.
Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Vladanka Andreeva, the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator for Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the main priorities on the cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the United Nations. The sides also discussed the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026-2030 between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations, the measurement of the priorities for Azerbaijan through the National Monitoring System of SDGs in order to strengthen the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as issues related to the continuation of the activities to localize the SDGs across the regions. The importance of the joint cooperation with the UN specialized agencies in this direction was highlighted.
The Minister of Economy expressed gratitude to Vladanka Andreeva for her contributions to the development of the high-level partnership and efficient cooperation between the UN Country Team and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan during her tenure and wished her success in her future endeavours.
