At the Ministry of Economy, a meeting was held with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to exchange views on the development of economic relations.
Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli met with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Development Bank, Riad Ragueb Ahmed.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the IsDB. It was noted that effective collaboration has made a significant contribution to improving the business environment in the country, supporting entrepreneurship, and increasing investment opportunities in the non-oil sector.
The importance of holding the Islamic Development Bank Group’s Annual Meetings for 2026 in Baku was emphasized, as it will strengthen regional and international partnerships among member countries. It was underlined that these events will play an important role in expanding cooperation with Islamic financial institutions and promoting Azerbaijan’s economic and investment potential on a global scale.
The parties discussed strengthening partnerships in the fields of economy and finance, expanding cooperation in priority areas, and other matters of mutual interest.
