At the 2nd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Argentina Joint Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation, discussions were held on expanding joint activities with Argentina in trade, investment, agriculture, transportation, and other areas.
Within the framework of First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev’s visit to Argentina, the 2nd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Argentina Joint Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Buenos Aires.
At the event, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Co-Chair of the Joint Working Group, Elnur Aliyev, emphasized the broad opportunities for economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Argentina. It was noted that there are prospects for strengthening collaboration in trade, investment, agriculture, and transport. In this context, information was provided on Azerbaijan’s economic potential and the opportunities available for investors. Argentine business representatives can operate in Azerbaijan’s industrial zones in manufacturing, logistics, or information technology, gaining access to regional markets. Investors from Argentina, which is one of the world’s key centers for agricultural exports, also have the opportunity to fully benefit from modern infrastructure in Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector.
Fernando Brun, Secretary for International Economic Relations of Argentina’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Worship, and Co-Chair of the Joint Working Group, emphasized his country’s interest in expanding economic and trade partnership with Azerbaijan and shared his views on potential areas for joint cooperation in this field.
At the meeting, authorized representatives from Azerbaijan’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Digital Development and Transport, Science and Education, the Food Safety and State Tourism Agencies, the Agrarian Research Center, as well as the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) discussed ways to expand cooperation in the relevant sectors and presented proposals.
The protocol signed at the conclusion of the event reflects cooperation in trade, industry, investment, agriculture and food safety, energy, healthcare, transport and transit, digital development, innovation, science, education, and tourism.
