Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Lu Mei, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Azerbaijan.
The meeting emphasized that reciprocal visits, business events, and the signing of important documents have contributed to the development of Azerbaijan-China economic relations. The sides discussed the significant role of the Joint Statement on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership, signed during the President’s visit to China, in advancing bilateral economic and trade cooperation. It was noted that there is broad potential for strengthening partnerships in the fields of transport and transit, industry, localization of production, construction, trade, and services.
During the meeting, information was provided on Azerbaijan’s favorable business environment, and issues such as investment promotion and increasing trade turnover were discussed. The sides emphasized the prospects for joint cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, investment, energy, transport, and the digital economy.
