In Algeria, during the meeting between the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, issues such as sustainable development, efficient use of resources, and other matters on the agenda were discussed.
The Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, is on a visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group.
As part of the Annual Meeting, a meeting was held with Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development.
During the meeting, the existing relations between the OPEC Fund and Azerbaijan were highly appreciated, and the importance of exploring joint opportunities to further strengthen this cooperation was emphasized. The significance of the partnership within the framework of regional and international economic development goals was also highlighted.
The parties discussed sustainable development, efficient use of resources, and other issues on the agenda, and evaluated opportunities for joint activities within the framework of infrastructure projects.
