State Tax Service announces admission to third Summer Internship Program

The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy (SST) announces admission to the third "Summer Internship Program" for students of higher education institutions, which consists of two parts, starting from April 1 of this year. Students intending to participate in the program can join the selection rounds by applying to the State Tax Service in the order specified in the announcement from the mentioned date until April 30.

The selection round of the "Summer Internship Program" will consist of 3 stages. The 1st stage is related to the preliminary examination of document acceptance, the 2nd one is the evaluation of the presentation video performances of the candidates, and the 3rd stage is the evaluation of the candidates on case-based group assignments.

"Summer Internship Program" will last from June 28 to August 30. Students passing all three selection stages successfully will have the right to participate in the summer camp, which will be organized in the Training Center located in Shamakhi district of STS for a period of 7 days. They will be trained in the Training Center by professional trainers on tax administration and other topics. Later, the students will undergo an internship for 8 weeks in the structural units of the STS located in Baku and in the regions.

Document receipt to participate in the program will be carried out from April 1, 2024 at 09:00 to April 30, 2024 at 23:59 through the e-mail address tecrube@taxes.gov.az. Upon application, in addition to mentioning "Summer Internship Program 2024" in the subject line, the ID card, student card and academic transcript must be attached to the letter in the form of a file.

Requirements for candidates to participate in the program:

  • To be a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
  • To study economics, law or management at the 4th year bachelor's degree or 1st or 2nd year master's degree of local or foreign higher education institutions;
  • The General Average Achievement Indicator for the autumn semester of the current academic year should be above 80 points (3 points on a 4-point system).

The main goal of the "Summer Internship Program" is to support the improvement of students' knowledge and skills and personal development. Students will have the opportunity via the internship program to apply their theoretical knowledge and develop new knowledge and skills in the field of taxation. At the same time, the candidacy of students who successfully complete the program can be evaluated for permanent employment with state tax authorities.

It should be noted that the students who achieved high results in the previous "Summer Internship Program" successfully passed the recruitment competition and got jobs in the state tax authorities.
