Sahib Mammadov

He was born in 1978.

Graduated from the "International Law" faculty of Kyiv State University and received a bachelor's degree in 2000, a master's degree in 2001.

He graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, majoring in finance and credit In 2008, Harvard Business School's "Economics for Managers" Certificate Program Harvard, Fundamentals of UN Program and Project Management (Azerbaijan), Asian Development Bank Investments (Laos), UNIDO's "Food Packaging and Sustainability Tracking" (Turkey), courses on "Supporting Regional Economic Development" within the European Union Establishment Project (Ireland).

Started his career in 2001 as an expert assistant on the European Union TACIS project at the European Consultants Organization (ECO) in the Kingdom of Belgium.

In 2002 -worked as an expert in the Azerbaijan representation of the UN International Organization for Migration (IOM) on migration issues and in the European Union TACIS project in Azerbaijan on the implementation of the partnership and cooperation agreement between the European Union and Azerbaijan.

In 2003-2004 -worked as an information officer at the Information and Technical Support Office of the European Commission in Azerbaijan, "Europe House", and at the Azerbaijan representation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

In 2004-2007 - worked in the Ministry of Economic Development as a senior consultant, sector manager, deputy head of department and head of the Sustainable Development and Regional Policy Department.

Since 2009 - worked as the head of the Department of Regional Development and State Programs of the Ministry of Economic Development.

He was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 13, 2014, and appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 30, 2016.

He was appointed temporary executive of the position of the head of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Control Over Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 13, 2020.

Appointed a Deputy Minister of Economy by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 23, 2021.

In 2012, he was awarded "For distinction in civil service" and "Progress" medals in 2018 by the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Married and has 2 children.
