Azerbaijan-Slovakian Business Forum took place
On October 19, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) organized an Azerbaijani-Slovakian business forum with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In addition to officials, the event was attended by about 50 businessmen from both sides in the field of ICT, construction, food, etc.
Deputy Minister of Economy Niyazi Safarov talked of the successful development of Azerbaijani-Slovakian relations and great potential for widening cooperation between the two countries, noting that Slovak companies are successfully operating in industry, construction and service sectors in our country. Partnership is developing between the two countries in the energy, humanitarian, tourism and other spheres.
The Deputy Minister made the participants aware of the reforms carried out for improving the Azerbaijani economy, entrepreneurship, business and investment environment, and invited Slovak businessmen to take advantage of the favorable business and investment environment enabled in Azerbaijan and invest in various fields.
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Ivan Korchok expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan, stressing his country's interest in expanding economic and trade relations with Azerbaijan. Ivan Korchok spoke about the economy of Slovakia, underlining that such events with the participation of entrepreneurs will contribute to expanding ties between business circles.
The head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev spoke about the work done and the measures taken by his organization to attract foreign investment.
Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy, delivered information about the activities of the Agency, support and services provided to entrepreneurs, noting that SMBDA can support foreign businessmen and investors in our country in coordinating with relevant agencies, finding local partners, etc.
The business forum continued with bilateral meetings of businessmen.
